I had such an amazing time surfing, drinking Imperial and Bamboo, eating Casado and surfing during sunsets that I will definitely go back next year. I loved the feel of surfing so much, that I bought a Longboard at a local shop called Longboard Living. I had gone two weeks after I came back to browse. After two more weeks of browsing, I ended up back there. I didn't know they do one-hour personal lessons! Sweet! Go see Ryan and pick his brain. (He's also pretty cute!)
Today while I was practicing pushing in an empty schoolyard, I couldn't help but reminisce ..
I missed my kooks!
In Nosara, my feet swelled up like mad. That's Roberto locked out of his hut ;)
Will found a pig. This was our surf instructor. Hard to take him seriously! So cute though. All the girls had a major crush, lucky bugger he was, haha!
Clearly we had been drinking too many Imperial and Pilsen! (Local beer)
Best Casado came out of this woman's car in Tamarindo. Only cost $4 (2000c in Costa Rica)
Pipa! This guy in Nosara said hi to me every morning when I ran to the beach with my board. I'm pretty sure he giggled at me every afternoon when I emerged beaten by the waves. Nothing more refreshing than fresh coconut water!
This bistro called Buon Appetito across from our hotel in Tamarindo had the friendliest staff and the BEST coffee.
Sexy surfer dude in Nosara. He caught every wave. Even his bails were graceful.
The beach in Tamarindo!
Trits (pronounced Treats) is the best ever ice cream sandwich you will ever eat for 800c (roughly $1.65). I will never eat any other in my life unless it's Trits.
I love this pic. It describes Costa Rica perfectly. In the background you can see all stages of surfing/paddling. In the foreground - beach babe. Pura Vida!
So to keep the feeling going, I bought my first board yesterday. Here's a pic of me taking a break from riding this morning! :) Woke up, had a coffee, eggs, beans and left without putting make-up on.
Time for a beer! Too bad I can't find Imperial here! ;)
