It's almost the end of the month and I have about two weeks of Songs of the Day to post. Clearly, I'm a bizzy sweet thang and have no time to update this on a daily basis. Apologies, my lovelies.
I've been busy working, gymning (yes, that's a verb), dating, socializing, and packing.
So here are my selections for tunes from May 16 - May 21
May 16 - Blow by Ke$ha
I actually can't stand Ke$ha, but after listening to this song and watchign the video on repeat at my brother's place, I can't help but listen to this on repeat at work to keep me away while budgeting.
Plus, any video Vanderbeek mysteriously grows hair back for, is worth watching.
May 17 - Larry Tee's Supermodel Inc.
Fabulously gay DJ and Mix Master Larry Tee is buddies with Ru Paul - and has been since the 80's. There's actually a hilarious video out there of the two of them in the 90s critiquing their 80s outfits. Its' almost painful to watch because their hair was just such a mess. Ah... the 90s...
May 18 - What You Waiting For? by Gwen Stefani
Alright Harajuki gals, extend those legs and stick out your pelvises! lol. Seriously, it's some crazy power stance that Gwen has mastered. Or maybe it's simply a result of the towering shoes...
May 19 - Tom Petty's Free Fallin'
A favourite for long car rides and impromptu sing-alongs with friends.
May 20 - Peaches' Mommy Complex
This song is very sexy, but the video isn't. It's a confusing a pathetic attempt at... something. Clearly the peachy Canadian had an incredibly low budget.
May 21 - Mountain Top by Bedouin Soundclash
I have a soft spot for these guys and for Michael Maxxis, who directed the video. Michael is a buddy to loads of Canadian musicians, including Billy Talent and Jay Sparrow.
