Still catching up from last week.

Seems like my song of the day is now weekly updates of songs for the week. Work, boys, dinner with friends and packing is still taking up all my time. OoOo and I'm going to the Symphony tomorrow for the first time! I wonder if it'll inspire my tune of the day...

For now, here's to catching up for the songs from last week starting with:

May 22 - Black Eyed Peas' The Time (Dirty Bit)

When I had my moving out party over the long weekend, I kept this track on rotation. What can I say? I love the Dirty Bit. ;)

May 23 - SNL Digital Short 'It's Not Gay When It's In a Three Way'

First of all, three ways are for people who are open-minded to the gay factor because yes - it IS gay. (Not in a bad way. Just sayin'.) Still, love this vid and Gaga is great. Odd though that the original SNL Digital Short is now unavailable on YouTube.

I read in last month's Wired Magazine that there is a huge battle between Lonely Island's independent work versus their work on SNL. The conflict of interest, and battle for audience, is huge.

May 24 - Kiss On My List by Hall & Oats

Courtesy of my buddy Nathan who is addicted to Happy Music, here is my tune. I have no story. I have no insightful ditty. Just sing along to the la la la's. :)

May 25 - Cut Copy's Where I'm Going

Cut Copy's latest album, Zonoscope is apparently an amazing summer album. It came out in February this year, so it was mid-summer for the Australians, who are loving the record. (Pitchfork.com rates it an 8.5 out of 10.)

I'm hooked on this tune and can't wait to make it one of my summer albums!

May 26 - Diamonds and Guns by The Transplants

Remember 2002? It doesn't seem so far away, but this song brings me back to my college days. This track was on heavy rotation on The Edge and then disappeared, along with the unicorns and rainbows that were the dreams of The Transplants.
It's true. It's a wicked world that we live in, fellas.

May 27th - Everclear's Everything To Everyone

Going even further back to 1997 when kids responded to anthems. Over ten years later, they need a fresh one. I think the last effective one was The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. I wonder if Lady Gaga is going to up with one?

May 28 - Judas by Lady Gaga

I love black leather, motorcycles and men which aren't always that good for you. Good ol' Judas, you kooky guy.
